Babies Celebrate Birthdays and Learn to Move It!

While Rehoboth is home to many toddlers and young children, there are babies to be cared for as well. Here are a few of our children, learning to crawl, walk and celebrating their first birthdays!

School Time!

What fun we had starting school at the Rehoboth Early Learning Centre with Teacher Marivic!

The kids get to wear different coloured t-shirts for the different days of the week. In addition, as part of the Home's philosophy to reach out into the neighborhood, the pre-school is also open to children from the community who would otherwise not be able to attend. Here are some shots of the kids lining up for school, playing and exploring their environment with their teacher, and a few of the community mothers bringing their children for their first day of school.

So Many Visitors ... So Much Fun!

Yeah! It's a Real Pool!
We had a team of short term missionaries with us from the US, and before they left, they took the children swimming at a nearby resort. Needless to say, everyone enjoyed the water!

Summer Time!

During the summer months, the heat can become unbearable. So the staff at RCH are good at improvising ways for the children to stay cool ... connect the water hose to the outdoor slide ..... and .....

... PRESTO! The children have a water slide!

Playtime with Visitors.

We were fortunate to have students from the University of the Philippines come in and take the time to just be with our children. The attention and nurture that this provides these babies until they either return to their birth families or go to new homes is crucial in the development of their little lives.

Visiting US Missionaries

For two weeks in mid march, three families from Montana, in the US, selflessly gave their time and love to our home by working on the facilities and spending time with the children.

A BIG Day!

On the 17th of March, RCH hosted representatives from the Barangay Council, local police station and area military personnel, along with AHMOP Board Members and missionary visitors. The goal of this time together was to continue developing relationships with the local officials and inform them of the benefits to the community from the expansion project.

Some special moments in February

Singing with actions . . .
The twins were now confident to show case their talents . . .

The Rehoboth "walk" . . .
Every afternoon, the kids are getting used of their exercise walk outside the Rehoboth compound. They love to see and explore the nearby fields !

Happy Valentines . . .
This was taken during the Preschool Valentines Program. These kids were all loved so they are also eager to show their love and affection to others!

Happy Story . . .
Jerick and his “forever family” met for the first time on February 16, 2009. Rehoboth will terribly miss Jerick, but we are so glad that he is now with his loving family.

Outdoor Fun. . .
Preschool kids are having fun looking at the scenery around the Rehoboth compound . . . Trying to glimpse if there are some smoke form the nearby factory that can make the air dirty! (Thank goodness there wasn't any!).

Enjoying the Ice Popsicles . . .
It is starting to get hot now . . . kids are having a good time eating the cold popsicles during the hot weather!

Confident . . .
Kids are more eager now to show what they can to their audience. These boys are showing how proud they are by applauding.

Jollibee at RCH

Jollibee also stopped by to share in the Christmas cheer with the children. Not only did the children receive treats, but important goods were donated that help in the day-to-day operations of the home.

This appearance could not have happened without the kind hearts of the Knights of Antipolo, Wings of Love Riders, all employees and relatives working with local grocer, Wigley Phil's.
At this time of Year we remember how God uses His people to provide for these dear children in so many ways. We thank Him for his continued provision for the Home and for the best gift of all .... our Precious Lord Jesus.

December = Joy, Fun, Blessings

During the Christmas season, the generosity of everyone comes out. Recently a group of young people came to celebrate the birthday of a benefactor of the home, Ate Jo-e Villagracia, where a lunch was provided for the children. These young adults also played games with the children, spending time with them and providing gifts. the home was also given important supplies such as a baby spa, vitamins and analgesics for infants. Maraming-maraming salamat po!

Anreau, Robbie and Russell recently left Rehoboth to join their forever family. What a joy that these three brothers could stay together. Mum and Dad, along with their three "big boys" travelled to welcome these boys into their family. So now these darling boys have have three big brothers too!
